Description
The Amnesty Bookshops | Amnesty International UK
Welcome to our second-hand bookshops, where the emphasis is on quality, value-for-money, and building community spirit. Few people know that the first Amnesty ‘Bookshop’ began as a stall based in the Hammersmith & City Line tube station, run by Amnesty members Dick Langton and Christine Pain to raise funds for local campaigns. We have come a long way since then, and today there are ten second-hand bookshops around the country, each with its own unique personality.
