Eddie Carter purchased the shop in 1968 with the aim of delivering excellent customer service. The shop was taken over by his son Chris in 1997 and he has been running it since. Chris has been working in the shop since 1968 making it 51 years at the business. It is the second oldest shop in Shirley, Southampton.
