Description

Christ Church, Derry Hill - A Church Near You

Welcome to Christ Church, Derry Hill, which is part of the Marden Vale Team Ministry. Christ Church is a light and airy Victorian church built in 1840. It is in excellent condition and easy to maintain and stands in the heart of the village between the vicarage, the primary school and the village hall. The church is open every day and the handsome spire may be lit at night in memory of a loved one, or indeed for happier occasions such as baptisms, wedding anniversaries, etc. - it can be seen from many miles away. The core congregation is very loyal and the church is filled to capacity at all the major Christian festivals. The excellent Church of England Primary School has close links with Christ Church. Services in the Marden Vale churches resume from Sunday 18th April. Please go to 'Services and Events' and 'News and notices' on the left hand side of this page for details of future services. We also welcome you to join in our service of Evening Prayer via Zoom - contact Rev Linda Carter for the link. Details of dates and times as above. Please see the 'Coronavirus' and 'News and Notices' pages for updates. Safeguarding The Marden Vale Team Ministry takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.
