St Barnabas Hadleigh - A Church Near You

Another joint service A joint service will be held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Mike Ketley’s ordination at St Barnabas at 10:30am this Sunday 3rd of July, followed by a buffet lunch. The 8am BCP Communion at St James will still take place. It is hoped that St James too will host joint services in the future. Churches Together In the afternoon of 6th July there is a Churches Together gathering at 2:30 for tea and cake at the URC church. We need to work together as Christians in Hadleigh and Leigh so let me know if you are interested in coming along. St Barnabas PCC will meet at 2pm in church on Wednesday 13th July. Coffee Morning Tony and Sandra are hosting a coffee morning at 10, The Avenue on 23rd July to raise funds for the friends of St James. Please support if you can. The Banks of Hadleigh Did you know there used to be 8 banks in Hadleigh? The last one, Lloyds, is now going and banks are closing in Leigh as well. If you don’t feel this is right, there is a petition to sign in church. Coffee time in church and Kettle's On One of the most serious outcomes of the pandemic is loneliness and that can really affect people’s health. Please always ensure that you welcome everyone who comes and make a place for them to join a group. Thank you. Evensong is a lovely service at St James but very poorly attended. We are looking at moving the time of the month for this 6:30pm service, and maybe having it earlier in the evening in the winter. In the meantime, why not come along and finish Sunday off in song?
