It is no longer necessary to book to attend any of Cambridgeshire’s Household Recycling Centres. Before visiting the Household Recycling Centre please visit our website to Check whether your vehicle requires an e-permit (applies to commercial-type vehicles or any trailer in excess of 1.5m length (excluding the towing mechanism) or over 570 litre capacity) Please sort your waste ready for arrival at site. Opening times April to September: Monday to Friday - 9am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday - 9am to 6pm (Site may close at dusk if earlier) October to March: Monday to Sunday - 9am to 4pm (Site may close at dusk if earlier) Entrance gates shut 10 minutes before closing time Christmas Eve - closes at 1pm Christmas Day - closed Boxing Day - closed New Year's Day - closed The centre operates Sunday opening hours on other bank holidays. News We will be bringing forward plans for a new Household Recycling Centre (HRC) at Milton, to replace the current facility which must close by 2026 under its existing planning consent. Find out more about our plans here . About There are nine Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) in Cambridgeshire. They are managed by Amey under contract to Cambridgeshire County Council.
