Mr Niall Patton MB ChB, MD, FRCOphth is a Consultant Ophthamologist, Cataract and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. He is also Director of the Manchester Vitreoretinal Fellowship Program for International Ophthalmologists from around the world, who visit Manchester Royal Eye Hospital to gain high level surgical and clinical expertise in the management of retinal disease. Procedures undertaken by Mr Patton include: Routine Micro-Incision Cataract Surgery including Femto-second; Laser Cataract Surgery, and Complex Cataract Surgery; Surgical Vitrectomy 23G, 25G and 27G); Retinal assessment for flashing lights and floaters; Surgical Vitrectomy for Floaters; Retinal detachment surgery; Vitrectomy for diabetic eye disease; Vitrectomy for Epiretinal Membrane Peel; Vitrectomy for Macular Hole (without posturing); Intravitreal injections for wet age-related macular degeneration; Intravitreal injections for diabetic macular oedema (including Ozurdex and Iluvien implants); Intravitreal injections for Retinal Vein Occlusions (including Ozurdex); Intravitreal ocriplasmin (Jetrea) injection for VMA and small macular holes; Medical Management of Diabetic retinopathy (including injections and retinal laser treatment)
